The Rangers roster is becoming spell check's worst nightmare. They've already added Yorvit Torrealba and Yoshinori Tateyama to the 40-man roster this off-season, and now they've agreed to minor league deals with righthander Yhency Brazoban and outfielder Hirotoshi Onaka.
Brazoban, 30, has played with the Dodgers in parts of five seasons covering 116 appearances. He's posted a 10-12 record and a 4.70 ERA. He will most likely spend the year in AAA, unless there are a number of injuries and he happens to be pitching great at the time. He'll be quite a way down the depth chart.
Onaka, 22, was not drafted out of his Japanese university by any teams over there, so the Rangers saw something they liked in him and inked him to a minor league contract. Don't expect to see him in Arlington anytime soon.
