Shaggin' Flies Offseason

Thanks again to all of you who have read my blog on a regular basis since I started a month ago.  I hope that you've enjoyed my thoughts, opinions, and analysis throughout the playoff run.

But don't leave yet, I'm just getting started.  When I started this blog, I wanted to do more than just the game previews and recaps/reactions that I've been limited to in the postseason.  Now is my chance to expand to a more extensive variety of articles and posts that will keep you up to date with the Rangers going into 2011.

So over the next few months, you can expect to see an evaluation of 2010 Rangers who will hit the free agent market, analysis on an signings or trades that occur, more "...And I Was THERE!" articles by myself and other Shaggin' Flies readers, and I'll probably throw in some fun stuff from Rangers history like Top Free Agent Signings and Top Trades.  If you have any ideas for something you'd like me to write about in this space, be sure and let me know.  I want to write what you want to read.

If you are relatively new to being a Rangers fan, welcome aboard.  For the best in-depth coverage of Rangers baseball from a fan's perspective, click the Newberg Report link on the sidebar and sign up to get his reports in your email.  You'll love it.  For above average coverage, you can hang around here, too.  I've been getting around 15 hits per post on average during the playoffs, and I'd love to keep you guys around as we watch this team shape up for 2011 and have some fun in the meantime.

If you've got a Google account, you can sign in and 'Follow' this blog.  I've got two followers currently, and I know there are more of you who check back frequently, so go ahead and become a follower.  Be sure to tell your friends about this blog if you've enjoyed reading it.

Finally, just because the Rangers season is over, don't expect me to shift attention over to the Cowboys, Mavericks, or Stars like most local news and sports radio outlets do.  Shaggin' Flies is all baseball, all the time.  I won't be writing everyday, but more like three or four times a week, so check back frequently.

I'll kick things off with a free agency article tomorrow.  Any wild guesses on which player it will focus on?
