ALCS Travel Day Randomness

It turns out that CJ Wilson had a blister on his middle finger all season, and it opened up in the second inning yesterday.  That's poopy timing.

The weather forecast is for a 40%-60% chance of rain Friday and Saturday in the Metroplex.  It seems like it's rained in almost all Friday night Rangers home games this season, so it wouldn't be a shock if that happens tomorrow, but again, that'd be poopy timing.

Joshua and I were walking Hank tonight, and just before we went in our neighbor from across the street said hi.  Last week he told me, "Congratulations for your Rangers," and he wears a Tony Romo jersey pretty often, so I assumed he was a Rangers fan, too.  Tonight I told him that I'm hoping for a win either tomorrow or Saturday.  He said he's hoping for a win tomorrow AND Saturday.  That caught me off guard, so I said, "For who?"  Then he told me he was a Yankees fan, since he was about Joshua's age.  I told him I wished he hadn't told me that, but I'd try not to hold it against him.

I've tried to take a brain break from baseball last night and today.  I've watched a lot of Discovery Channel shows (Mythbusters, Storm Chasers, and Ghost Lab), played monster trucks with my son while watching Monster Jam on TV, and worked on my Halloween costume during Joshua's nap.  I didn't work today, but I will tomorrow, so that will distract me for about 8-10 hours, but around 5 PM or so, I'll start to get that uneasy pregame feeling that I've had about every day for the last 2 1/2 weeks and it will last until the game is over.  It's awesome having my team go this deep in the playoffs, but it's taking a toll on me.  It'll all be worth it if we get the job done.

Have fun watching Game Six, especially you, Joel.
